SFF AI

The eighth edition of the Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF) is currently in full swing from November 14 to 17, 2023. This prestigious event brings together global leaders and experts in finance, technology, and public policy, focusing on pivotal topics including Artificial Intelligence (AI). The central theme of SFF 2023, “AI for good. AI for good?”, encapsulates the dual perspective on AI’s potential and risks.

One of the key points of discussion at the festival is the significant impact of Generative AI on the global economy, with projections suggesting it could contribute nearly US$7 trillion to global GDP in the next decade. This statistic underscores the festival’s focus on not only the enormous potential of AI in transforming enterprise operations but also its challenges and inherent risks.

SFF 2023 aims to offer a comprehensive platform for exploring AI’s promises and pitfalls. The festival is dedicated to fostering a unified vision for the future that maximizes AI’s benefits while carefully mitigating its risks. To achieve this, the event will continue previous discussions on critical areas such as driving low-carbon transitions, expanding financial access to underserved communities, enhancing digital economic resilience, and scaling AI and Web3 solutions both regionally and globally.

Over 800 speakers will present across more than 300 hours of content, covering eight themes, including Responsible Tokenization, Beneficial AI, Accelerating ESG, Efficient Payments, Scaling Insurances and Pension, Digitising Inclusion, Advancing Talent, and Empowering Entrepreneurship.

Notable headline speakers at the conference include Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund; Ajay Banga, President of the World Bank; and Tharman Shanmugaratnam, President of the Republic of Singapore. This lineup reflects the high-level engagement and diverse perspectives that will enrich discussions at SFF 2023.
