The Outdoorsy Group has announced the expansion of its InsurTech platform, Roamly, into Canada, marking a significant milestone in its international growth strategy. This expansion includes the acquisition of Canadian Access and the establishment of a new headquarters in Toronto. In addition, Roamly has entered into a strategic enterprise partnership with Aviva, further strengthening its position in the Canadian insurance market.

As part of this development, Rich Sanders has been appointed as President of Roamly. Commenting on the expansion, Sanders stated that setting up a Toronto headquarters was a natural progression following Roamly’s rapid growth in Canada.

Roamly’s enterprise platform provides insurance companies with an advanced, AI-driven solution to streamline underwriting, pricing, and policy management. The platform processes over 200 terabytes of actuarial data daily, empowering insurers to enhance underwriting accuracy and accelerate product launches.

“Our expansion into Canada marks a pivotal moment for the CAD$82 billion general insurance market, which is projected to grow to CAD$143 billion by 2029,” said Rich Sanders, President of Roamly. “Roamly is redefining traditional insurance with technology that helps our partners operate more efficiently in a highly regulated and complex industry.”

He added, “With the acquisition of Canadian Access, we are introducing our cutting-edge technology to the Canadian insurance ecosystem, delivering a seamless, digital-first experience to both enterprise partners and everyday consumers.”

Adam Beach, President of Canadian Access, expressed enthusiasm about joining Roamly, stating, “We are excited to be part of Roamly’s mission to modernize insurance in Canada. Their technology will allow us to serve both consumers and insurers more effectively, providing faster, more efficient insurance solutions.”

Beyond its collaboration with Aviva, Roamly plans to expand its partnerships with insurers to develop customized insurance products for the Canadian market. These offerings will cover home, auto, specialty insurance, and mobility marketplaces, including solutions for carsharing platforms and RV rental services.

With this expansion, Roamly joins a growing list of InsurTech companies revolutionizing the industry through AI and data-driven solutions. By leveraging cutting-edge technology, Roamly aims to streamline operations, enhance risk assessment, and improve the overall customer experience in Canada’s evolving insurance landscape.
