Plumery, a digital banking experience platform built for customer-centric banking, and Aequilibrium, a Canadian leader in digital transformation, have announced a strategic partnership aimed at supporting small to mid-sized Canadian credit unions as they prepare for the sunset of Central 1’s digital banking platforms, Forge and MemberDirect.
In response to the decommissioning of these widely-used platforms, the National Digital Banking Working Group (NDBWG) has been actively exploring modern alternatives that cater to the collaborative spirit and specialized needs of credit unions. Plumery’s multi-tenant, cloud-native architecture offers a compelling solution—enabling secure infrastructure sharing among credit unions while preserving data isolation and personalized user experiences. This architecture significantly reduces both implementation and long-term operational costs.
“Our Digital Success Fabric was purpose-built as a cloud-native SaaS platform tailored to the scale and needs of credit unions,” said Ben Goldin, Founder & CEO of Plumery. “By making enterprise-grade financial technology more accessible, we’re leveling the digital playing field for smaller institutions.”
Aequilibrium brings its extensive expertise in user experience design and digital platform implementation to this collaboration. “We’ve partnered with Plumery to support credit unions during this pivotal transition,” said Adrian Moise, Founder & CEO of Aequilibrium. “Our focus is on creating streamlined, integrated digital experiences that balance consistency with each credit union’s unique identity and community presence.”
Plumery and Aequilibrium will be jointly presenting their capabilities and migration strategies at the upcoming Canadian Credit Union Association (CCUA) National Conference, taking place May 11–14, 2025. Attendees will gain insights into the product roadmap, implementation approaches, and collaborative opportunities designed to ease the transition and enable future-ready digital banking experiences for credit unions of all sizes.
