Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) announced that it has filed initial registration statements with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for two new cryptocurrency exchange-traded products (ETPs). The proposed products are the Morgan Stanley Bitcoin Trust and the Morgan Stanley Solana Trust. Both are designed to be passive investment vehicles that seek to track the performance of their underlying cryptocurrencies — Bitcoin and Solana, respectively. These filings are pending regulatory approval, and the registration statements have not yet become effective. Until the SEC completes its review, these securities may not be sold or offered for sale.
