ESW Unveils AI Commerce Platform With Microsoft Copilot Integration

ESW has introduced a new “Agentic Commerce” platform designed to help retailers connect AI-powered product discovery with secure checkout, beginning with an integration for Microsoft Copilot.

Global ecommerce technology provider ESW has announced the launch of ESW Agentic Commerce, a platform intended to help retailers participate in the growing market of AI-assisted shopping. The company says the new offering enables brands to make their product catalogs available to AI assistants while allowing customers to complete purchases without leaving the AI experience.

The initial rollout is built around Microsoft Copilot, with ESW stating that support for additional AI agents is planned in the future. Rather than replacing a retailer’s existing ecommerce platform, the service is designed to integrate alongside current systems, extending them into AI-powered shopping channels while ESW manages much of the underlying operational complexity.

According to ESW, the platform is powered by its Agentic Hub, which serves as the infrastructure connecting AI agents with global commerce capabilities such as localized checkout, payments, taxes, duties, and cross-border compliance. The company says this approach is intended to reduce friction between product discovery and purchase while enabling brands to expand internationally through AI-driven shopping experiences.

The announcement reflects a broader shift in ecommerce as consumers increasingly use AI assistants to research and purchase products. ESW cited industry forecasts suggesting agentic commerce could become a multi-trillion-dollar market over the coming years, with AI expected to play a growing role in online product discovery.
ESW Chief Executive Officer Eric Eichmann said retailers increasingly need infrastructure that supports AI as a shopping channel rather than simply demonstrating AI capabilities. He described the new platform as a way for brands to prepare for a future in which AI assistants become a primary destination for discovering and buying products.

The company said the solution is currently available for brands and customers in the United States, with broader availability planned at a later date.
