BMO Marks Decade of Women in Business Initiative with $100,000 in New Grants

BMO and Deloitte have recognized ten Canadian women-owned businesses with grants and business support as the program surpasses $1 million in total funding since its launch.

BMO has announced the 2026 recipients of its annual Celebrating Women Grant Program, awarding $100,000 to ten women-owned businesses across Canada as the initiative reaches a significant milestone of more than $1 million in cumulative grant funding.

Delivered in partnership with Deloitte Canada, the program provides each selected business with a $10,000 grant along with access to personalized business coaching, educational resources, and networking opportunities intended to help entrepreneurs expand their operations and increase their impact.

The 2026 recipients represent businesses operating in sectors including finance, healthcare, education, mobility, sustainability, and advanced materials. According to BMO, each company demonstrated measurable community impact while supporting at least two of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The businesses selected for this year’s program are:
  • Finance Labs (Ontario)
  • Universal Health Hub (Ontario)
  • Chickpeace (British Columbia)
  • Staff Shop (Ontario)
  • Optinum (Ontario)
  • Material Futures (Ontario)
  • Active Mom (Quebec)
  • Spacer Mobility (Ontario)
  • Speak Fluent (Ontario)
  • Trifecta Living Co. (British Columbia)

Beyond financial support, recipients will participate in one-on-one coaching with BMO for Women advisors and attend a two-day summit in Toronto later this year. The event is designed to connect founders with banking professionals, industry experts, and fellow entrepreneurs.

This year’s summit also commemorates the 10th anniversary of BMO for Women, a platform launched in 2016 to provide women entrepreneurs with specialized banking advice, educational programming, and access to professional networks.

BMO says the grant program reflects its broader commitment to helping women-owned businesses overcome barriers to growth by combining funding with mentorship and business development resources. Since the initiative began in 2020, it has expanded across multiple industries while providing more than $1 million in grants to entrepreneurs throughout North America.
