Amex-Ecobank partnership in 21 countries in Africa

American Express and Ecobank Group are joining hands to significantly expand American Express Card acceptance in 21 countries across Africa. This agreement extends American Express card acceptance in 12 countries: Burundi, Central African Republic, Gabon, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Niger, São Tomé and Príncipe, Sierra Leone, The Gambia, and Togo. Amex cards are already accepted in 9 countries: Cape Verde, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, Nigeria, the Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda.
