Wibmo Launches Intelligent Authentication Suite with Mastercard to Redefine Biometric Payment Security at GFF 2025

Wibmo, a PayU company, unveiled its Intelligent Authentication Suite at the Global FinTech Fest (GFF) 2025, setting a new standard for digital payment security in India and beyond. Tailored for banks and merchants, the suite provides advanced, scalable, and RBI-compliant authentication capabilities, designed to make digital payments faster, safer, and more seamless.

As India witnesses a surge in online transactions, traditional OTP-based systems face growing challenges from delivery issues, delays, and fraud. Wibmo’s biometric-first, risk-based solution addresses these vulnerabilities—enhancing trust, reducing friction, and improving customer experience while cutting costs and disputes for merchants and banks.

The Intelligent Authentication Suite integrates Web Passkey, Merchant-In App, and Bank In-App Authentication, powered by Wibmo’s Smart Orchestration engine. The system leverages biometric identifiers like fingerprint, Face ID, or PIN, enabling phishing-resistant authentication through public key cryptography, where sensitive credentials stay secured on the user’s device.

Developed in collaboration with Mastercard, the solution introduces India’s first biometric passkey for digital payments—delivering transactions up to 80% faster than traditional OTP flows, with completion times of around 12 seconds.

According to Wibmo CEO Shailesh Paul, the suite reflects the company’s two decades of expertise in trusted digital authentication. Mastercard’s South Asia VP Satya Padhiary added that the partnership sets a new benchmark for secure, seamless, and intuitive digital payments, further strengthening India’s leadership in fintech innovation.
