Marsh, the world’s largest insurance broker and risk advisor and a subsidiary of Marsh McLennan, has announced two key leadership appointments, effective January 1, 2025. Alistair Fraser will assume the newly established role of International Corporate & Commercial Leader, while Alistair Brighton will succeed him as CEO, Corporate & Commercial UK.
Marsh, a global leader in insurance and risk management, supports clients across various industries in managing risks and building resilience for sustained growth. Fraser’s new role will involve expanding Marsh’s services to small and mid-market clients in regions including Asia, Europe, India, the Middle East and Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, the Pacific, and the UK. Based in London, he will report directly to Marsh McLennan International CEO Flavio Piccolomini.
With over 25 years of industry experience, Fraser joined Marsh in 2007 and has held multiple senior positions across markets such as the UK, Singapore, and Indonesia. His recent roles include leading Marsh’s corporate business in the UK since 2018 and overseeing Marsh Commercial since 2022.
Alistair Brighton, currently UK Sales Leader, will take over as CEO for Marsh’s Corporate & Commercial UK division, pending regulatory approval. Brighton has been with Marsh since 2004, serving the small and mid-market sector with specialized risk and insurance solutions.
Commenting on the appointments, Piccolomini noted the growing risk challenges facing small and mid-market clients amid global volatility, citing Fraser’s international expertise as critical to enhancing Marsh’s offerings. Chris Lay, CEO of Marsh McLennan UK, expressed confidence in Brighton’s ability to lead the UK division, highlighting his experience and dedication to client service and innovation in the UK insurance market.
