Officials from the UK and US finance ministries have unveiled the Transatlantic Taskforce for Markets of the Future, a joint initiative to enhance collaboration on digital assets, capital markets, and emerging financial innovations.
Announced after high-level discussions at Downing Street with industry leaders, the taskforce will develop recommendations within 180 days. Its work will be coordinated through the UK–US Financial Regulatory Working Group and informed by regulators, market participants, and industry experts.
Key priorities include advancing cooperation on digital assets, strengthening links between UK and US capital markets, and reducing barriers to cross-border fundraising. The initiative underscores the enduring financial partnership between London and New York, two of the world’s most influential financial hubs.
