Standard Chartered has entered into a strategic partnership with Wise Platform to enhance its SC Remit service, delivering faster, lower-cost, and more transparent international payments to retail clients in Asia and the Middle East. This collaboration leverages Wise’s global payments infrastructure and expertise, including its extensive network of licences, six direct connections, and deep knowledge of treasury management, allowing SC Remit customers to send money in 21 currencies, such as USD, CAD, EUR, GBP, SGD, and JPY, with mid-market rates and no markups.
Standard Chartered will integrate Wise’s API over the coming quarters, enabling seamless access to Wise’s infrastructure and reinforcing the bank’s commitment to delivering world-class international banking services. The partnership is expected to expand, adding more currencies and geographic markets in line with Standard Chartered’s growth strategy.
