Revolut to Add 400 Jobs as Paris HQ Eyes French Bank Licence

Revolut is accelerating its European expansion with the creation of 400 new jobs across Western Europe, focusing particularly on France as the company eyes a local banking licence. The fast-growing digital bank is establishing a new headquarters in Paris and aims to hire across France, Spain, Ireland, Germany, and Portugal—primarily in risk management, compliance, and product roles.

At least 200 of these positions will be based in France, with plans to grow its French workforce to 1,500 by 2029. The move underscores Revolut’s intent to make Paris a central operational hub alongside its Lithuanian base, as it continues to serve its 60+ million global customers.

This strategic hiring push follows the appointment of Béatrice Cossa-Dumurgier as CEO for Western Europe and is part of Revolut’s broader commitment to invest €1 billion in France over the next three years. The firm also plans to apply for a French banking licence, solidifying its long-term presence in the country and reinforcing Paris’ growing prominence as a European financial center.

Revolut’s flexible working model and its reputation as an innovation-driven employer have made it a magnet for talent, with over 1.6 million job applications in 2024 alone. The bank currently employs 13,000 people worldwide and expects the phased hiring to add 80 employees in the first year, ramping up to 400 by 2029.
