Frankfurt – Deutsche Bank has officially launched Swift’s Instant Cash Reporting (ICR) tool, an API-based solution that enables corporate clients to access real-time account and balance information through a single, standardized connection. This marks a significant advancement in the bank’s API capabilities and reinforces its commitment to real-time treasury innovation.
The integration allows corporates to retrieve immediate, on-demand financial data via the Swift network, using a standardized ISO 20022 data model and secure JSON format. Swift acts as the central connector, routing corporate API requests to Deutsche Bank and delivering account data in a consistent and secure manner.
Iberdrola, a leading Spain-based energy firm, is the first corporate to implement ICR within its treasury function.
Johnny Grimes, Head of Corporate Cash Product at Deutsche Bank, stated:
“ICR addresses the key demand of corporates for multi-bank solutions and consistent standards in the API space to simplify adoption.”
The ICR service is currently available to Swift-connected corporates and financial institutions. Deutsche Bank has expressed its openness to collaborate with other banks and corporates, promoting broader adoption of multi-bank API treasury solutions.
By embracing ICR, Deutsche Bank is setting a precedent in modern treasury management, supporting the drive toward real-time financial visibility, efficiency, and interoperability in global cash management.
