DBS Announces Leadership Changes as Tan Su Shan Takes Over as CEO

 

Singapore – DBS continues to reshape its leadership team under incoming CEO Tan Su Shan, appointing key executives to strengthen its corporate banking and operations divisions. 

In a recent announcement, Chen Ze Ling, currently Singapore Head of Corporate Banking, has been named Head of Corporate Banking and SME Banking, succeeding Koh Kar Siong, who was recently appointed Head of Group Audit. In his new role, Chen will report to Han Kwee Juan, Group Head of Institutional Banking (IBG). 

Chen brings over 20 years of banking experience across multiple geographies and has been with DBS since 2008. He has held senior positions, including Country Head of DBS Australia, and has managed relationship coverage for large institutional clients in the energy, power, and utility sectors across Singapore and Southeast Asia. 

DBS has also appointed Welson Jamin as Group Head of Operations, reporting to Derrick Goh, who will take on the role of Group Chief Operating Officer. 

Jamin, who currently leads IBG Operations and International Centers Technology & Operations, has been with DBS for 25 years. He has played a pivotal role in driving operational transformation across 14 locations, managing over 2,000 operations professionals. His leadership has spearheaded workflow automation, process enhancements, and the integration of generative AI into banking operations. 

These leadership transitions will take effect from April 1, 2025, marking a new phase of strategic growth and operational efficiency for DBS.
