Finix, a U.S.-based payments processor, has partnered with Interac, Canada’s leading payments network, to expand in-store payment options for Canadian merchants. The integration of Interac Debit into the Finix platform marks a key step in Finix’s Canadian expansion and supports small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs) in modernizing their payment systems.
Through this collaboration, merchants can now accept in-store Interac Debit payments, offering customers greater convenience, flexibility, and security. The companies highlighted that seamless, reliable payment infrastructure is critical for Canadian SMBs seeking to meet evolving consumer expectations.
Richie Serna, CEO of Finix, stated that the partnership will simplify payments for merchants by providing infrastructure that lets them “focus on growth, not payment complexity.” Glenn Wolff, Chief Client Officer at Interac, added that the collaboration reflects Interac’s commitment to supporting the modernization of Canada’s payment ecosystem while enhancing the accessibility of secure, real-time payment options.
The integration further strengthens Finix’s position in the Canadian payments market, aligning with its broader mission to build flexible payment solutions that adapt to changing merchant and consumer needs.
