Lloyd’s, the world’s leading insurance and reinsurance marketplace, has expanded its Enhanced Liquidity Fund range with the launch of two new EUR and GBP Enhanced Yield Liquidity Funds. This strategic move aims to provide long-term cash management solutions that deliver higher return potential, while maintaining high liquidity and low Solvency II capital charges, according to InsurTech Insights.
These newly introduced funds complement Lloyd’s existing USD Enhanced Yield Liquidity Fund, further broadening the Lloyd’s Investment Platform. Designed to support treasury and investment teams within the managing agent community, the platform now provides access to a wider range of key market currencies, reinforcing Lloyd’s commitment to operational efficiency and investment growth.
Following an extensive due diligence and approval process, Lloyd’s has appointed Insight Investment to manage the funds. The platform enables Lloyd’s market participants to access bespoke investment solutions, fostering capital return potential through diversified opportunities.
Eleanor Bucks, Chief Investment Officer at Lloyd’s, highlighted the significance of the initiative:
“We have built a platform that provides market participants with access to a wide range of bespoke investment opportunities, including private assets. These two new funds underpin our commitment to enhancing capital return potential within the Lloyd’s market through innovative solutions.”
Adrian Grey, Global Chief Investment Officer at Insight Investment, added:
“We are delighted to have been chosen by Lloyd’s to manage the two new funds. Our expertise in cash and short-dated structured credit strategies allows us to design bespoke investment solutions tailored to our clients’ needs.”
With the introduction of these funds, Lloyd’s continues to enhance its investment offerings, providing market participants with greater flexibility and efficiency in managing strategic cash reserves. This initiative underscores Lloyd’s commitment to delivering innovative financial solutions that support long-term capital growth and strengthen the market’s investment capabilities.
