Intact Insurance Joins Team Canada as National Partner, Sponsors Speed Skating Star William Dandjinou

Intact Insurance has announced a multi-year national partnership with the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) and Team Canada, underscoring its commitment to excellence and community engagement. As part of this partnership, Intact is also sponsoring William Dandjinou, a top Canadian short track speed skater and triple gold medalist at the 2025 Speed Skating World Championships.

Dandjinou, who currently holds the International Skating Union’s Crystal Globe for overall performance, will receive financial support from Intact as he prepares for the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympic Winter Games. His dedication and success reflect the values shared by Intact and the COC.

Imen Zitouni, Senior Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer at Intact Financial Corporation, emphasized the company’s long-standing support for sport and community. Jacqueline Ryan, Chief Brand and Commercial Officer at the COC, welcomed Intact as a key partner for upcoming Olympic Games in 2026 and 2028.

Beyond elite competition, Intact and the COC are collaborating on a grassroots initiative as part of Team Canada 2035, aimed at promoting safe and inclusive sports participation across Canada. This program aligns with the COC’s long-term strategy focused on podium success, community play, and sustainability.

For nearly two decades, Intact has supported Canadian athletics at all levels, including partnerships with Speed Skating Canada, the Centre de glaces Intact Assurance, and professional women’s sports leagues. The new partnership will also include a nationwide campaign with CBC/Radio-Canada to showcase inspiring stories of Canadian athletes and communities.

This collaboration further strengthens support for Team Canada as athletes prepare for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics and Los Angeles 2028 Summer Games.
