BMO has launched BMO Sync, a groundbreaking solution in Canada that directly integrates BMO Online Banking for Business with popular Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online and Sage Intacct.
Developed in collaboration with Vancouver-based fintech FISPAN, BMO Sync enables businesses to automate payment processes, streamline workflows, and gain near real-time visibility into cash flows—all within their existing financial platforms. This innovative solution simplifies payment processing, enhances reconciliation with automatic bank feeds, and supports rapid onboarding in under 30 minutes.
“BMO Sync is a key component of our Digital First strategy, which is focused on delivering superior digital experiences to our clients,” said Sean Ellery, Head of Digital & Innovation at BMO Commercial Bank. “By embedding our banking services within our clients’ systems, we enable them to save time, reduce errors, and concentrate on what matters most—growing their businesses.”
The initiative with FISPAN is part of BMO’s broader effort to expand embedded banking capabilities through APIs. “FISPAN’s open architecture allowed us to integrate directly with ERP systems, enabling us to build and deliver BMO Sync to our clients in record time,” noted Gurreet Sidhu, CIO, Treasury and Payment Solutions at BMO.
BMO Sync is now available to BMO Online Banking for Business clients in Canada and the U.S., supporting a range of leading ERP and accounting platforms.
