BMO Empowers Canadians with Launch of “Credit Coach” for Smarter Credit Management

Bank of Montreal (BMO) has launched BMO Credit Coach, a no-fee digital tool designed to help Canadians take control of their credit health through real-time monitoring, personalized guidance, and financial insights.

Available via BMO’s Mobile Banking app and Online Banking, Credit Coach enables clients to track credit scores, analyze score factors, and use an interactive credit score simulator to understand how financial actions—such as applying for loans or paying bills on time—impact their credit profiles. The service also provides alerts and tailored recommendations to help clients make informed credit decisions without affecting their credit scores.

“BMO Credit Coach makes credit health more accessible and understandable, empowering our clients to make more informed financial decisions and achieve their goals,” said Mathew Mehrotra, Group Head, Canadian Personal and Business Banking at BMO.

The launch expands BMO’s portfolio of digital financial wellness tools, reinforcing the bank’s commitment to helping Canadians make real financial progress. Other key offerings include:

  • BMO My Financial Progress – A goal-planning platform that offers personalized, adaptive strategies and financial insights.
  • BMO SmartProgress – A free financial education platform with interactive content on budgeting, credit management, homeownership, and investing.
  • BMO Insights – AI-powered tools like CashTrack and Spend Categorization to monitor spending habits and alert users to potential issues.
