New API infrastructure allows financial firms to integrate Kalshi event contracts directly into existing investment platforms, with tastytrade the first firm live.Apex Fintech Solutions is expanding the infrastructure available to financial firms that want to offer regulated prediction markets, announcing an API integration with Kalshi that allows event contracts to be incorporated directly into existing brokerage platforms.
The new offering is designed to reduce the technical and operational requirements involved in adding prediction–market trading. Rather than building their own Futures Commission Merchant infrastructure or establishing direct exchange connectivity, participating firms can use Apex’s platform to connect with Kalshi.
The partnership gives firms access to event contracts based on real–world outcomes across areas such as economic indicators, financial markets, weather, sports and cultural events. Apex says it will provide key back–end services including clearing, custody, money movement, statements and account management, while Kalshi supplies the regulated marketplace and event contracts.
“Investors want to trade on direct events, not proxies,” said Travis McGhee, Global Head of Digital Markets at Apex Fintech Solutions. “Through our platform, clients can now offer Kalshi’s event contracts with ease – no FCM buildout, no lengthy development cycles, no separate platform to manage. We’ve cleared the path. Now firms can move with more velocity.”
The first company to go live with the new infrastructure is tastytrade, which has incorporated prediction–market products into its existing brokerage environment. Independent reporting and tastytrade’s own product information confirm that the brokerage offers event contracts through its platform and uses Apex infrastructure for the service.
The integration is intended to make prediction markets feel more like an extension of conventional brokerage services. Apex says firms can use existing AscendOS APIs for functions such as order management, position tracking and market data, while event–contract positions can be displayed alongside traditional securities. The platform also supports automated settlement and around–the–clock access to Kalshi markets, subject to scheduled maintenance.
“Apex’s infrastructure opens the door for more firms to offer Kalshi markets to their customers,” Crowley said. “By removing the technical barriers that have historically limited access, this integration helps bring prediction markets to a broader audience of investors who want to trade on the events shaping the world around them.”
The announcement comes as prediction markets increasingly move into mainstream brokerage platforms. tastytrade’s launch follows similar efforts by other retail brokers to make event contracts available alongside stocks, options and other financial products.
Apex said Kalshi is the first venue connected to its new Prediction Markets Platform. The company plans to add additional venues and capabilities over time through a single AscendOS connection.
Prediction–market trading remains a high–risk financial activity. Apex states that event–contract participants can lose their entire investment and warns that the legal and regulatory environment surrounding these products continues to evolve. Regulatory or legal actions could potentially result in trading halts, liquidations or position cancellations.
