Alliant Credit Union Appoints Jamie Warder as New CIO and Head of Business Strategy

Alliant Credit Union is the largest credit union in Illinois and one of the largest in the U.S., with over $20 billion in assets and 800,000 members, has appointed Jamie Warder as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Head of Business Strategy. Warder assumed the role on July 8, 2024. 

Jamie brings over 20 years of experience in building national digital banking models to Alliant. He joins them from KeyBank, where he most recently led the business banking and investment services division, as well as the digital banking platform and brand, Laurel Road. 

Jamie ‘s extensive career includes leadership positions at National City Bank, PNC Bank, USAA Bank, ING, and Capital One, where he served as EVP of retail and direct banking. He also served in the US Army as an armor and cavalry officer before entering the banking industry in 2006. 

Jamie ‘s appointment comes amidst a trend of CIO hiring within the fintech sector. Recent appointments include Irfan Hussain at the London Stock Exchange Group, Jon Daplyn at New York-based prime broker Clear Street, and Greg Lanigan at Member Driven Technologies.
