Aviva and NatWest Partner to Redefine Customer Experience in Protection Insurance

Aviva, known for being the most innovative InsurTech player in life and health insurance, announced a five-year partnership with the NatWest Group during the launch event at Aviva’s offices. The collaboration’s core objective is to empower NatWest’s retail and mortgage customers with fully fledged access to Aviva’s protection products, including term life insurance, critical illness cover, and guaranteed over-50s life insurance.

The business looks to enrich customer experience further through the seamless integration of Aviva’s insurance products through advanced NatWest Banking portals. Customers will be able to access insurance products via mobile apps, online portals, and phone support.

It involves the inclusion of instant automated quotes for term life insurance into the digital mortgage applications of NatWest; thus, offering customers a hassle-free journey. Furthermore, Aviva’s Digicare+ will add further value through prompting proactive management and prevention of health issues.

It consolidates Aviva’s position as the market leader of protection and health insurance with its advanced capabilities in underwriting and data science. NatWest Group remains one of the major players in UK retail banking, dedicated to extending services digitally and establishing a new benchmark in enhancing the customer experience through this partnership.

The Distribution Director at Aviva Daren Boys said, “We’re really excited to work with NatWest Group to provide their customers with the all-important security of protection cover. We look forward to more innovation and excellence in combining NatWest’s digital customer strategy with Aviva’s market-leading underwriting and pricing capability.”

Lloyd Cochrane, Head of Proposition and Protection at NatWest Group, added, “This partnership represents a crucial step in our strategic goal to meet customers at their point of need. By offering Aviva’s protection insurance, we aim to enhance their experience and deliver added value seamlessly.”

The rollout is expected to take place in 2025, unlocking new opportunities for customer-centric innovations in the protection insurance sector.
